INTRO TO HOCKEY CAMP
The Intro to Hockey camp is designed specifically for kids ages 4-8 who are looking for a basic introduction to hockey. The on-ice sessions are designed to teach newcomers some game basics in a fun and safe environment. DAYHA coaches and student-athletes run all on-ice sessions. On-ice and off-ice support is offered to teach kids how to get their equipment on, hold a stick and most importantly, skate. The program will provide a Q&A session designed to help parents and players understand the equipment, expectations of the program, and additional opportunities to skate for the 2025-2026 season.
Ages
This program is for those who are new to hockey and ages 4-8.
When
Equipment Fitting for those who register as needing equipment will take place at the first session, September 28th at the rink.

All practices are held at the DASA (Delano Area Sports Arena) 654 Tiger drive, Delano. MN 55328.

Equipment
If you are needing equipment, DAYHA will provide the full equipment needed to you at no extra charge. Equipment provided will be Helmet, skates, stick, chest protector, elbow pads, breezers and shin guards.
Equipment fitting will take place at the rink on the first day, Sunday September 28th.
All registered skaters will be provided a jersey, sweatpants, and neck guard.
If your child will not be moving on in the season to our non-travel league and you would like to return purchased equipment, this can be done at the end of the season and a refund will be sent to you.
Cost
Intro to hockey is $25.00 per player. If you are needing equipment, this can be purchased during registration for $150.00. If you decide at the end of this season that you do not wish to continue into the next level of non-travel hockey, you can return the equipment on the last day, October 18th and you will be issued a refund of $150.00.

My child has never played hockey—how do we get equipment?
Great question! If your child is new to hockey, we recommend registering for our Intro to Hockey
Camp in September and October.
Cost: $175 (includes full equipment for the season)
If your child decides not to continue after the camp, simply return the equipment and receive a $150.00 refund.
