Delano hockey is more than a game—it’s a community.

A place where young players learn teamwork, resilience, and pride in the orange and black. But keeping that legacy alive takes commitment.

The Delano Area Youth Hockey Association is responsible for $180,000 each year in critical costs to maintain the second sheet of ice and keep our programs strong.

• $250 - $500 - Spirit of Community: Honoring all who live, work, and play in our community. 
• $501 - $2,499 - Super Fans: Dedicated to our hockey program and supporting those who play. 
• $2,500 - $4,999 - Hockey Family: Once a hockey family, always a hockey family. 
• $5,000 - $9,999 - State of Hockey: Hockey is more than a game, it’s a part of life, and as Minnesotans, we’re proud to take the ice. 
• $10,000 - $24,999 - Team Players: To those who came before us, taught us the game, and are yet to come.
• $25,000 - $99,999 - Champions: For love of the game.
• $100,000+ - Legends: Hockey forever.



All donors will be recognized on a commemorative wall. All donations are tax deductible.

DELANO 2ND SHEET

The future of Delano Hockey is now. The Delano Area Sports Arena was originally formed in 1988 by a group of hockey parents who wanted to bring indoor ice to Delano. Through countless hours of volunteerism, donations from area businesses, and much sweat equity, the arena came to life and was opened in 1990.

The time has come for us to thank those who came before us and pay it forward. Delano Area Youth Hockey in partnership with the City of Delano and Delano Public Schools are partnering on a 2nd sheet of ice. The renderings and initial plan can be viewed below in the photo slideshow. Our growth as a community and hockey program have created a need for additional skating opportunities. This facility will provide more than just ice as it will be used by the community and is being built with the community needs in mind. In addition to an additional hockey rink, the ice park expansion will include outdoor ice for hockey and recreational skating.

Delano Area Youth Hockey is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, EIN 41-1397047, led by a group of dedicated volunteers. We need your help to bring this project across the finish line. Please consider committing to a donation level below. Donations can be a one-time payment or spread amongst 12, 24 or 36 months. Please review the donation levels and find a level that will help us complete the project. 

The Delano Ice Park is a $5.9M investment in the community. Delano Schools will gift the property to the City to become parkland. The City will issue bonds to fund the project. $2.5M paid by the City, $3.4M paid by Tiger Hockey, through donations from the community, the hockey family, and fundraising efforts. All funds donated to this project will be kept in a separate 2nd sheet fund and will only be used to complete this project.
