At the Mite level, we will not have full-time goalies.  We encourage the kids to focus on skating as much as possible and play out to get better at edge work and skating.  DAYHA provides each team with goalie gear and coaches are responsible for the distribution and making sure all kids have a chance to play goalie in games and or practice evenly.  During games or scrimmages, the goalie position will be evenly rotated between all players interested in playing goalie.   

DAYHA does offer Goalie Clinics for those wishing to participate and explore the position more.  Look for these clinics on the calendar.  Mites are welcome to participate in these clinics.  Work out the gear distribution with team coaches.

During the season we will have some outdoor hockey scheduled Tuesdays at 6:30 pm (Rockford Rink Rats).  These practices and or games are OPTIONAL, but if you choose to attend, please note the following.  Outdoor hockey will be canceled if the Temperature is below 10* F or the Windchill is below -0* F.  

Rockford Rink Rats is held at the Rockford Riverside/Lions Park hockey rink.  All equipment is required.
